Plain Dutch Weave is an important component in the range of filter media which GKD supplies for filtration grades of approximately 40 µm.
Dutch Weave is manufactured in a plain pattern (1/1) in which the diameter of the warp (length) wires are greater than the diameter of the weft (width) wires.
The surface of Plain Dutch Weave is closed and filtration takes place at the crossing point of warp and weft. Plain Dutch Weaves have a considerably greater mechanical stability than plain open square mesh, and GKD's available stock, with openings ranging from nominal 40 µm to nominal 85 µm, covers most of the needs for filter media in industrial filtration.
Plain Dutch Weaves are used in drum, nutsch-type, and in cartridge filters. The materials used for these stock items are stainless steels AISI 304 and 316 (DIN 1.4301 and 1.4401).
