Trackmatic Belts (self tracking belts)
and Lightweight Trackmatic Belts
GKD’s self-tracking Trackmatic Belt is an advanced variation of a Single-Twisted metal belt. The warp wires (running direction) are always flexible cables or stranded wires and the weft wires (cross direction) are solid wires uniquely formed with “V-Crimps” on the underneath side of the mesh.
Drive and tension rolls (and support rolls, if necessary) are grooved, allowing the “V-crimps” to guide the belt. The need for costly sprockets, chain-edges and tracking systems is eliminated.
With its smooth surface and variety of mesh openings, Trackmatic belts can be applied in all industrial fields.
Trackmatic can be manufactured up to 26 feet wide and in lengths of 450 feet or more.
Edges can be upturned to nominally 2“.
Trackmatic Mesh Construction
Trackmatic Belt uses either 2.0 mm (.078”) or 2.8 mm (.110”) diameter cables in the running direction. For the cross direction wires with “V-crimps”, either 1.5 mm (.059”), 2.0 mm (.078”) or 2.5 mm (.098”) diameter wires are used. For extra-heavy duty applications, cross wires of 3.0 mm (.118”) are offered.
The warp cables are evenly spaced at 17.5 mm (.689”) and the weft wire openings vary from 0.1 mm to approx. 10 mm. Because you can vary the cross member, the exact opening desired can be produced.
Type 15 = 2.0 mm warp wires with 1.5 mm weft wires
Type 16 = 2.0 mm warp wires with 2.0 mm weft wires
Type 17 = 2.8 mm warp wires with 2.0 mm weft wires
Type 18 = 2.8 mm warp wires with 2.5 mm weft wires
Trackmatic Edges
Trackmatics are gemnerally supplied with welded edges. Most often, the 2/2 or 2/3 pattern is used. This is done for durability, wearability and long term belt integrity.
Trackmatics can be relieved and upturned for a side containment edge.
Trackmatics can also have sealed resin edges if desired. Special additions can be accomodated on request and review.
Trackmatic Seams
The most common seams are the single and double loop pin seams. These seams use the cable warp wires to form loops allowing for a cross pin to be inserted to make the belt endless.
Trackmatics can also be supplied prepared to be soldered on site in a few ways. Most common is the cable to cable solder.
Special seams by request.
