GKD has years of experience in manufacturing and rescreening pressure filter leaves, hot gas candles, and custom filters. We provide manufacturing and technical support for filtration requirements in the beer, wine, juice, distilled spirits, water, edible oils, sugar processing, soap/detergent, pharmaceuticals, acids, petroleum, biofuels, greases, resins, and chemicals markets.

NeverLeak™ Filter Leaves

The GKD NeverLeak™ filter leaf was developed to outperform ordinary filter leaves. In the NeverLeak™ construction, filter cloth is pulled taut across the leaf and continually seam welded at the perimeter to secure a leak-proof fatigue resistant filtration element. There are no riveted or bolted seams, nor polymer sealants. Every leaf is inspected under magnification to assure a leak proof filter.

The NeverLeak™ leaf is produced with a heavy-duty stainless steel center support mesh, stainless steel perforated sheet, and top and bottom screen cloth. The layers are internally spot welded to secure the mesh and the frame for a durable leaf that has three dimensional strength. NeverLeak™ design is offered in a broad variety of filter leaf configurations and filter media options. This precision construction process contributes to an even filter cake

accumulation and a long lasting leaf life.

Rescreening

GKD-USA Inc. leads the industry in manufacturing and rescreening filter leaves and cages. GKD has an experienced staff able to appraise repairs, remove the old media, and rescreen the supporting frames to new condition. GKD offers completely new customized frames that will fit into your existing equipment. Due to GKD's universal fixtures, almost any frame can be rescreened, regardless of the geometry or dimension. Rescreening is an inexpensive alternative to buying new—it’s typically less than half the cost of buying a new replacement.

Hot Gas

GKD stainless steel wire mesh, mesh laminates, and YMAX® are used as filter media in various hot gas filtration applications. Our patented* interlocking welded seam has proven to significantly outlast ordinary lap joints. Filter media is matched to the requirements of the application based on the needed particle retention characteristic and/or the general requirements of the exhaust gas filtration.

In addition to using our filter cloths and cages for new hot gas applications, take advantage of our re-screening service for your existing filtration equipment. GKD has an experienced staff ready to appraise repairs, remove old media, and re-screen the supporting frames. GKD’s fixtures are universal, allowing re-screening of almost any frame regardless of geometry or dimension.

Custom Design

GKD has the ability to customize designs to meet the unique requirements of your application. Custom configurations offer performance, durability, and chemical compatibility in a wide range of applications.

Our WeaveGeo software enables us to design and optimize the proper filter media for your application. Predictions from the software such as weave pattern, porosity, pressure drop, and bubble point are possible. This highly sophisticated development tool minimizes developments costs and optimally configures a mesh to your specific requirements.
